If the details are out there I havent seen them - has it been explained exactly how the guy out of his restraints, overpowered the guards and got away? I know less than nothing about transporting convicts but that seems fairly easy to prevent.

I have the same questions. It just seems very unlikely this would happen. Especially considering, if there is a bus and it had a guy in it you absolutely don't want out you'd protect it a bit more. If there was a single unit escort I feel like this wouldv'e been impossible. And if he had any connections for escape he could be anywhere in the world at this point.

I think he had some help to get out of the area long before the search was organized. Swam the river to get to Mexico.

Don't have to swim to get in...... He was at the most 6 hours from the crossing into Nuevo Laredo from where the bus was ditched. My bet is he had someone lined up to drive him down and across into Mexico the day/evening of the break out.

No one on either side of the border would have recognized and/or checked as they left USA and into Mexico.

I agree, John. There were two guards, and the one driving was stabbed in the hand. There has been no mention, that I have seen, about a scuffle either the non-driving guard. Anybody got info on him?

It seem that these busses would have a wire panel between the driver and passengers.
