Price per acre for mowing only

Looking at picking up few local yards around me and wondering what kinda average price to charge per acre, mowing only without too many obstacles/trees

You dont chg per acre, you charge per minute.

My buddy gets $200-250 an acre for zero turn mowing on multi acre lots around here. He got it before gas skyrocketed too. At $4 a gallon, it’s sounding like a pretty fair deal. Weed eating but no edging. My 14 year old son gets $20 dollars an hour for mowing, weedeating, edging, and picking up all broken/fallen limbs.

I think that's fair. I think location matters a lot with pricing.

I live on 2 acres and used to have a lady come mow it. She mowed for $50/acre and did a great job. She got pregnant and quit so I bought my own mower and do it now.

I got a quote recently in Washington County to shred a 10 acre pasture. The company quoted me $500.

Because no chance you can mow 2 acres of grass in 1 hour

I bet this is right. My yard itself is a little over an acre and I mow it with my 48” spartan in 30-35 minutes. That’s mowing around trees, the ditch, and picking up kids stuff here and there.

I base mowing with 60” zero turn and weedeating both at $80/hour.
