Are you not a fan of LaLa’s?? I eat there every time I come down that way. It’s not the best I’ve ever had, but it has such a reverence about it that it makes it worth it

In my best Shirley Q Licker voice,” Oh Lort, no!” I used to eat there regularly 35-40 years ago and it was the best Mexican food on the planet. Now, after trying really hard to make it good, I just finally gave up.

Same. For me the decades old reviews doesn’t match the poor food quality these days.

Just decide at what point the deer aren’t worth the cost and go with it. Outside of that do your thing and deal with it.

Pretty sure we just bought our last load of cottonseed until the prices get back to normal. This last load was $490 a ton (super sacks). I can get bulk protein for that, or maybe just a bit more.

I saw these high prices & shortages coming so I bought my cottonseed a couple months ago. Going to start putting it out in another week or two.

Where are you getting cotton seed. All the gins up north are not selling any.

the cotton seed was from hartzendorf in sinton. I'm not sure how much they have, but we have never had an issue with them not being able to deliver.

We bought 50K lbs may in may, and another 50K pounds a couple weeks ago. We have not fed protein seriously (2-3 protein feeders out just to see what happens), but we just bought a bunch of lamco feeders, and are going to start feeding protein... to supplement that high dollar cottonseed! LOL

heck of a deal, cottonseed used to be a cheap protein filler to supplement protein feed. But they started putting a big H on the sack now that probably makes it better. I hope they don’t start putting a big buck on the bags. That will really ramp up the prices! [emoji23]

What’s the price going a ton at the mill in Sinton? I remember last it was 425 a ton. Last year I was getting it for 12$ a 50lb bag in jourdanton. I bought a ton last month at 16.75 per 50lb bag. Even at 425 a ton, should still be ahead of buying from the mill.
