    Feeder filling service?

Reading another thread, it was mentioned the cost of just getting to/from the lease just to fill feeders.
This gave me the idea that once my boy starts driving in a few years, he could provide the service.
My question is would people actually use this? I figure it could be a great way for the boy to earn a little money.
I understand the concern about other people on the property and the concern of poaching/theft.

They would need to have their own trailer so they could pick up pallets of feed...

      For sure (already have one).
I'm thinking a few years out for my boy. Living in South Texas, there are a lot of people traveling to hunt.

I guess that means it would be something he could do if he hustles to get it going.

Our local feed store offers this service.

The bigger feed stores will supply a feed trailer with blower hose instead of buying pallets of feed, buy bulk. Less money and easier to fill the feeders. We use it for protein once a month.

Absolutely, but he’d have to do it. Lots of guys have tried this around here but they’d rather put it off as nd do it later. They don’t last.

I would love to do it on our Leon County lease unfortunately the roads are not good enough for a truck to always be able to make it to all the feeders.

Get him in a trade. Earnings should be through the roof in a few years with nobody wanting to take on a trade.

That is a great idea, if someone would take on an apprentice that only could work evenings or weekends (thinking of when he's still in school). Of course in summer he could work more.

The one near us will pull trail camera cards and Dropbox them as well. Cell cameras are sketchy at bet out there so lots of people take him up on it.

Had a guy from Mason offer me $1000 to fill his feeders one time.He hunted near Christoval..He took me out there the next day,and about 15 minutes into it;I knew I wouldn't do it for 10x that amount..You'd destroy a pickup after a few trips. That place was rough as ****!

when i had a lease in west texas i hired one of the kids from the feed store and his buddy to fill my feeders.
opened an account at the feed store so i got billed directly for the feed. just paid the kid cash. i saved money on just fuel savings alone. buddys on the lease made fun of me until i put on paper for them. they quickly hired them out also. lol
