Boat trailer title question?

I bought a boat, motor and trailer from a guy in Nacodoches in 2015. I transfered the boat and motor but didn't the trailer because it never left my river camp. I'm now trying to get the title but cant find my bill of sale. I called the tax office but they cant give me any information. Any advice on how to get the guys name/number to have him sign a change of title?
