Arrow spine for the wife's bow

So I went ahead and paid for the app to run the calculations, durn thing keeps coming back with 600 spine which blows me away. Yall think this is right or should I just scrap it and go with a 500 and be done? She's currently shooting 400's (setup from the shop) and "they're fine" but if I'm buying new arrows and tuning my OCD wants to do it perfectly if I can.

I put this on some other forums but honestly value input here more so decided to bug yall with another archery-related thread even though I know how much they're frowned upon here.

    Stats
    Bowtech Carbon Rose
    IBO: 302
    DL: 25
    DW: 50 lbs
    Brace: 7"
    ATA: 30"
    Letoff: 80%
Arrow: 27.5" but can be as short as 26.5"

How much weight up front? I'd be inclined to use a bit more punch and FOC, which would work better with a stiffer spine, with a TAW over 400.

That's with 100gr head and 16gr HIT insert they come with. I suppose I could slap more weight up front and get the 500's in optimal range that way yeah? Her speed is already pretty slow though.

Go 500 and have your shop put the 50 gr. black Eagle rampage half outs in them. They fit perfectly.

Those should fly well, and hit hard.

Yeah I kinda dig it! Thanks for the suggestion. That's over 400gr and doesn't lose a terrible amount of velocity.

I just wanted to follow up and thank yall for all the help and input. I FINALLY ordered her arrows... LOL

I went with the 500 spine and shortened it after doing some measuring, ordered a 25" 5mm Axis SPT which has a 1/2" halfout so total should be roughly 25.5 inches. She got a pink wrap with three white TAC 2.75" Driver vanes at 3 degree Left offset because her bow rotates a bare shaft counterclockwise, and a white nock to match and look all cute LOL.

On another note, I dug my chronograph out of storage and had her shoot it with her current setup and that bow's pushing her pink Nugent arrows at 239 FPS. I plugged in all the info for the current setup and the program is calculating that it should be 25 FPS slower and somehow displays the total arrow weight at 35 grains lighter than I weighed it, so far off from measured that I'm now actually worried the 500's will be too weak lol. This makes me very leery of blindly trusting the calculator so I'm glad yall set me straight. Calcs come out almost identical to actual for my setup and my current arrows though so I have no idea what's going on with the calculator with hers'. Ah well, we'll tune and shoot and keep getting ready for October.

Sounds good. You can always remove a bit of weight up front if you feel like the spine needs to be stiffer. Lighter insert or lighter broadhead will do it. But you should be fine with 50 lbs and her draw length.
