I also am going next week end to buy a new ride. I will be shooting them all so Why mathews over BowTech and Hoyt?
I would try an Elite Synergy too if a dealer near you carries them. I just bought one after trying many others too but can't go wrong with any of those brands! Liked the Hoy Vectrix XL and the Bear Truth also.
Thanks ya all! Appreciate the well wishes! Now I get to accessorize! Deciding between the QAD or Trophy Taker drop away (although I hate to give up my BoDoodle) to see how my accuracy does down range. I have to straight fletch to shoot the doodle. Want more helical, with quick spin vanes and going to carbon for the first time. Went from 80# draw to 60# so have to completely change my stuff.. I'll still shoot the heavy bow in Virgnia..but realized last year I need a more comfortable bow..80# got hard in the cold...
WCB, you're the very first person that I've heard say that the Gaurdian wanted to jump. The one I shot was as dead or maybe deader than my XT.
I shot my XT, and then the Guardian, then my XT again and then back to the Guardian. I shoot with a very relaxed grip (fingers open) and the Guardian would jump forward every shot. Len Marsh, Macrotech bow shop in Baltimore, said I was crazy. It doesn't jump. Without a sling I was afraid it was going to jump down the lane...
That's the way it felt to me.
