I'm taking my 19 yo daughter to see the Turnpike Troubadours tomorrow night. It'll be my first time to Billy Bob's. I have "premium pit" tickets. They aren't scheduled to start playing til 10:00. What time should I get there in order to get a table at the back of the pit? Any other suggestions? Thanks.
Only been there once back in the mid-90's. My entire fraternity went there to see Merle. Not too long after he was done, things went south. They shut the WHOLE place down, turned on ALL of the lights, got on the speaker and said "EVERYONE in a green Theta Chi shirt must leave NOW!". So my suggestion is don't go with a group like that.
Turned out that there was standing room only in the premium pit. That was fine. We were able to get very close. The whole experience was a blast! The crowd sang seemingly every word of every song. The band was in great spirits. Several thousand(?) white country folk and one, lone, brave African American man who seemed to be having a great time. Everyone was kind and courteous. If you haven't been to Billy Bob's at least once........

LMAO....
One of my sons-in-law is the most straight-laced put together guy i've ever met. Aggie Petroleum Engineer, hard worker, perfect dresser, shirt tucked in and belt matching shoes, perfect side-parted closely trimmed hair, great husband, great dad, etc. But, his guilty pleasure is going to the pit of scream band concerts. He sent his mother-in-law and I a video once and it looked like a downtown riot.
