I'm taking my 19 yo daughter to see the Turnpike Troubadours tomorrow night. It'll be my first time to Billy Bob's. I have "premium pit" tickets. They aren't scheduled to start playing til 10:00. What time should I get there in order to get a table at the back of the pit? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

We went to Shane Smith there in October and it was assigned seating. The wife bought the tickets so I’m not up to speed on the process but it was assigned because I remember her showing me a map of our seats. The bull riding was ok but I wouldn’t pay to watch it again. We got there at 8:30 and it seemed like it was too early although they had a decent act on the front stage by the dance floor. Next time we will probably get there around 9:15 or 9:20. If it’s your first time give yourself enough time to check out all the hand prints.

Probably saw the draw they would bring and opened it up to as many people they could put in there. If that’s the case I would get there as early as possible. I haven’t worked there in close to 20 years so that’s just my guess. Only even been a handful of times in the last 10 years.

Ive only been once, and I dont recall how the seating went, but I do recall them packing us in there like sardines. I thought to myself after, that it would have been much nicer to watch the show from the dance floor area instead of sitting down. It was plenty loud to hear them anywhere and you could easily see the stage from the back.

Billy Bob's usually has tables in that pit area; but because everything I've seen looks different than normal, I think they are pulling out the tables and it's all standing room. That's great for me at 6ft+, but my wife is bummed as she's only 5'4".
They do have tv screens in various areas, but my last memory of those was that it was a camera view of the whole stage, never panned in for close ups and didn't go from lead singer to musician; but was a wide shot that never moved.
We are going Saturday night and am not sure when to get there either; would like to hear what time they actually go on stage tonight or what time would be suggested.
