My oldest son Kyle graduates May 14th with his masters in Health and Kinesiology. He is going to be looking for a College Baseball Coaching Job. I realize that is a limited market, but it's not all about what you know, but who you know.
Kyle has a pretty decent resume baseball wise. He was all everything in HS. He posted the one of the lowest era's (sub 1) in the state of Texas both his Jr and Sr Seasons, and was all district all 4 years of HS, including district defensive MVP his Jr year, and District MVP his Sr year.
He then went on to pitch at the Wharton County Junior College for 2 years where he was All Academic All Conference.
He continued his college career at Prairie View A&M and was the teams Most Outstanding Pitcher for 3 years (including the covid year). He was 2nd Team All Black 9s Pitcher for 2020. He posted a sub 3 era in 2021 and threw a complete game shutout in the Conference Tournament. He went on play in Ohio last summer for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the MLB Draft League, where he started 3 games, one win, and a sub 3 era.
He has remained on this season with Prairie View as a grad assistant coach.
He has coached with the Houston Jackets 16u select team for the past two years as well.
I believe he is going to Florida this summer to coach in a Collegiate League there for the summer.
He obviously specializes in pitching, but has a wealth of knowledge on the other aspects of the game. He is looking for an College Assistant Baseball Coaching Job.
If anyone knows of any that are going to come open for the 2023 season please let me know. He does not want to teach, just coach so HS is not really a possibility.
