Wanting to mount a fish finder on my 1548 jon boat with pods. Not a lot of room inside between the pods and motor so turbulence is a concern. Anyone mount one off the back of a pod? Work ok?

Boat guys: transducer mounting question

My current Jon has Huminbird transducers mounted in both places. I have side scan mounted on a pod. And a lower 2D 50/200 mounted on the transom. Side scan is known for losing frequency above 20mph. Hence the 2D. I ran both into a Y-cable. And have good resolution at higher speeds with the 2D.
The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

I didn't want to put any more holes into my aluminum boat-so I mounted one of the bigger "stern saver" blocks(a little pricey but well worth it). It worked out great, no holes and I ended up putting another transducer onto it too. I put one on my glass boat too.
I would mount a block onto a pod if I were in your shoes.
