Back home in Louisiana they were available everywhere. I use to find them occasionally here around Kingwood/Humble but have not seen any in many years. Speak up if anyone knows a source around here. Best onion there is IMHO.

Cured? if so, Bag 'em in a ventilated bag and store 'em in a dark, cool spot. Will last for months. At least that's what I do with mine, and I grow about 50 lbs, each year. I store 'em in old crawfish bags. But we use lot of onions around our house.

There is a nice wholesale/ processor in Raymondville ( not a road side stand) we buy 1015’s by the bags straight from the field

I do but they are different. I prefer a smaller onion.

Reminds me of when “Bubba” Blue told Forrest Gump all the ways to cook shrimp. Do all the same things but use these Sweet Vidalia Onions!
