    Plumbing help needed

In my master bath I have a shower with 2 shower heads. Both of which have single hot/cold handles. On the opposite side of the wall there is a soaker tub with separate hot and cold water adjustments. I can look at the plumbing around the tub and tell that the plumbing comes from the wall between the shower and terminates at the tub faucets. I get plenty of hot water at both shower heads but only luke warm at the tub. I changed the Moen cartridge on the tub hot water faucet and no change. Water pressure has not deteriorated. I am stumped. Why would I get really hot water on one side of the wall, but only luke warm on the other? I assume these 3 faucets are plumbed in parallel so that makes it harder to understand. Any plumbing pros that can point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help.

I am no where near being a pro but I have seen an anti scald valve on some tubs that you can adjust to set the amount of hot water that comes out. On a dual valve tub it could be built in right between the hot/cold valves.

Do you have a recirculating pump on your WH?

Mixing valve issue? Ooops. Never mind. Just read more closely. Even with hot only valve opened it is still just warm?

Anti scald is probably correct. Look for a plastic panel somewhere. Maybe in a nearby closet. Pull the cover and adjust

I’m sure where the anti scald valve would be. I know the single handles have it but this fixture has its own hot water valve. I’m not aware of a separate panel anywhere in this house where I could make that adjustment. House was new in 2019 so almost new.

Do you have a water manifold?

There should be a mixing valve so that even though you only have the hot water on, it's a mix of hot and cold water. Look under the cabinets, or in a nearby closet.

By code in 2019 it had to have this mixing valve somewhere. Water heaters can put out 110 or 120 degree hot water (going off memeory) your tub hot water is only allowed to put out 104 degree water. The intent is so someone can't fill with pure hot water, and have a small child fall into it.

There isn’t an anti scald valve anywhere obvious. I’ll call the builder today to find out.

Builder said there is one and "should" be in the master closet. Thanks for the input everyone. I'll report what I find.

This is what you’re looking for. Should be accessible. Typically under m/sink or tub area but probably behind Sheetrock in your case.

I’ve looked far and wide for that. Builder said I should have access to it but he can’t remember where in my house. He’s checking with his plumber. I don’t have a lot of confidence in this guy.
