Keeping Crawfish Alive??

Boiling crawfish last weekend of the month but I’m wanting to head to the lease Thursday evening. Will crawfish stay alive for 2 days in the walk-in cooler at 38-40deg? I really don’t want to make the drive back to Longview to get them Saturday?

My guy in bridge city keeps his in walk in cooler for days at a time

Yes. The key is to keep them covered with a wet towel, burlap or what ever you have. That will keep their gills from drying out which is why they die. Also make sure you keep them cool and damp on the trip up there.
