Looking for advice on F250 transmission repair

Long story short my pops bought a used 2017 F250 from a big name dealer here in San Antonio. He bought the extended warranty to 100,000 miles. Recently the transmission started acting up and when we took it to the dealer they told us the transmission was shot and needed to be replaced. His truck now has 75,000 miles on it and like every Texas he put 35 inch off-road tires, but now the warranty company is denying his claim because of the tires! Is there any ground for him to fight this and get a lawyer?

Hard for me to imagine they could void your warranty for that when they sell trucks with 35s…
    I would fight it.
    Is it a diesel?

If it’s. Diesel I think that year still is covered by Ford 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

He could have pulled a little red wagon when it went out and they would tell you, you had it hooked up wrong. Dealerships all SUCK, they sell you extended warranty's then dont want to pay out when the time comes.

It is a diesel. I’ll check into that too

That’s exactly what I thought. I know I’ve seen them with 35s at dealerships

Some come factory with 35s I think. The Tremors are 35s, aren’t they?

                  What f250 doesn't have 35s? I'd lawyer up.

Lawyer fees will eat up the cost of a transmission pretty fast but I don't know what other options you have.

Thinking if we can just sell back out warranty and use it towards a transmission
