There was a guy in the outdoor section of texags.com that was posting two openings on a trophy lease in Webb/Zapata county. He was really getting roasted over the lengthy rules and criteria as to what could be killed. I tried reading the rules but got tired of reading about half way thru it. Anyway, several posted on there that he needs to post it on TBH that "there are enough newbs on there that he could probably find some takers". When that was posted I just chuckled that if he did post it on here there would be several comment that "sounds great-shouldn't last long" or "if I hadn't already gotten on a lease I would jump all over this". If it does get posted here he will say to have him send the guidelines to you- he wouldn't post it but someone did request it and posted them. So if it gets posted over here you can go there to see the "guidelines"- if you do make sure to have a ham sandwich with you cause you will be hungry by the time you are thru reading all of it.

Their lease, their rules but my takeaway is: New guys get to pay for high dollar lease. Spend a ton feeding, water, expenses, and growing deer, so old guys can say "you can't shoot that buck, I passed him once a few years back and been lettin' him age so he's mine."
