8 foot is likely all the mower you need for what you are doing. 3 point is easier to transport than a drag type. 60 hp. with a cab is all the tractor you need. 10 foot 3point mowers are historically kind of hard on tractor lifts, so if you went 10 foot, I'd get drag type. Picking the 3 point up and backing up, or loading on a trailer/unloading is easier. Mowing while backing up is also easier, but it does put overhanging limbs closer to you. Sounds like you are only mowing about 25 acres total on that place.

I'm looking at Kubotas.

My budget is $50k or less for the tractor and front end loader. Must be 4wd and have a cab.

I'm looked at the M6060 and the MX6000 today.

M6060 - 66.4 engine HP with 56 PTO HP, power shuttle transmission
MX6000 - 63.4 engine HP with 51.7 PTO HP, hydrostatic transmission

What other models should I be considering?

I'm used to the power shuttle transmission. I've never driven hydrostatic. Seems like a good way to make your foot tired if you are just shredding down a long road. Any tips here?

What other options should I make sure I get on a Kubota?
Hardest part will be finding one in stock with a loader. My dealership is about 2-3 months behind on tractors and some don’t have loaders yet.

I ended up buying a M4-D71. Thanks to some advice from this thread I went with more HP.

Next question is should I foam the tires? My current tractor has all four foamed. Salesman said people buying from him rarely foam them because the ride is so rough. What’s the green screen say?

Don’t fill the tires. Way to hard on the drive train. Ask for the sealant from kubota. If your after weight use water and antifreeze. Some of the M4 tr@ctors will have some whine noise from the brakes and steering. The dealer can fix it if they know what to do.

            Good Decision!
            Just slime the tires

              Kubota Tractor Buying Question

Excellent choice on the tractor! Mine is 62hp at the PTO and doesn’t even notice my 8’ cutter and handles my 15’ great even in thick tall growth.

BIG NO to the foam fill.

Also a no to Slime if your going by brand name. Your dealer should carry a quality tire sealant that is also compatible with water should you decide to add ballast to your rear tires (recommended)

MultiSeal is a brand to ask about.

That Multiseal is exactly what I used.

In four tires, installed it was $350

                Congrats on the new tractor!

At that price I'll do that for sure.

I am adding a grapple to the tractor. They have an 72 inch Armstrong Brush Rake Grapple in stock at the dealer. Anyone know anything about these? Are they built well?

I ended up with the land pride ,because my kubota dealer had those. You will be pleased with it. I use my grapple more than anything, except forks on the front end.
                          Congrats on the tractor.

                            I have that grapple too.

I don’t use it as much since I bought that skid steer, but it’s great brush pilebuilder

any grapple is worth having. They are handy for stuff other than just grabbing brush

Armstrong makes great stuff. Simple and built well.
