A neighbor lady of mine has a squirrel in her attic. She called a pest company and they wanted a crazy amount of money to remove it. What is the best way to trap it before plugging up the hole?

Throw some nuts in it and set it in the attic. It works.
Going to have to close up the hole they are coming through to really stop it.

I've never had any luck trying to trap squirrels in the attic. I've tried zappers, snap traps and live traps. The only thing that has worked for me is to run them out of the attic and close up the hole. I once borrowed a "squirrel excluder" and put it over the hole which closes behind them when they leave - it worked

Both of my neighbors were going through the same thing and asked me if I wanted the guy to trap them in my attic also. The cost was crazy, like over $1,000 for each house.
they paid it and he caught a grand total of TWO!! in their attics. Since them I have shot 15 in my front yard with my Gammo. The population has been controlled!

This is the only thing that worked besides a pellet gun for me

You gonna need a zebco rod and reel. Some nutty peanut butter and a treble hook.
Place hook on rod and reel. Form a ball of the nutty peanut butter around the hook like you would stink bait. Open attic door cast line in. Sit on couch next to rod and reel and wait to set the hook.
You may also want a video camera because it’s gonna be awesome
