    Pond access question

Texas… have a friends who shares a pond with a neighbor. He won’t even let us ask if it’s okay to talk to neighbors about fishing their side from kayaks and small boat- is it legal in Texas to cross property lines of a pond if you never set foot on land?

    Pond access question

I believe the verbiage is “navigable”, and I believe what you are talking about is private property.

Also sounds like semi sketchy friendsmanship.

Sounds like your friend, needs to find new friends. If the man said no, it's no. Take those yaks somewhere else and respect his rules. Not that hard.

Maybe paddle over there and see if they start shooting !
If so, then at least they think your trespassing.

No, that’s why you can run a fence across a pond that is on a boundary.

Maybe I am misreading this, but it sounds to me like your friend doesn't want you to cross over to his neighbor's side of the pond or even talk to his neighbor about it. But you want to do it anyway?

Am I off here? I sure hope so.

You really find out how much your "friends" respect you when you own land. My partner has friends come, make a mess, scatter beer cans and bottles and leave. He's starting to figure out who his friends aren't.

Why in the world would you even consider doing this if your friend said no? Unless everyone is misunderstanding your post, i’d be kicking you to the curb if you were my friend.

To answer your question, you would be trespassing.

Straight and to the point. You are spot on imo.

Sounds like a good way to lose your fishing rights on his 1/2. I know if it was my pond, and you did what you are asking, you wouldn't be fishing my pond again.
