Finally the action is heating up!
Finally seeing lots of bucks on our sits and good numbers of mature bucks. The only problem is half of them are broken already. Oh well…we’re going to have a lot of bucks to hunt next year.

Thanks. I'm super proud of him. He had passed on 2 others. This one chased a doe for a good 5 min and covered quite a bit of ground on a mesquite flat. He was patient and kept his cool. When the buck stopped in a good area, broad side, he put the gun to the window and did a high shoulder shot on him. Planted him right there. The bullet bounced around in the buck a little, and we were able to recover it under the hide on the opposite side.

I think yesterday was the most active day I've ever documented with my cameras (cell cams)... Only thing is, it started about 10:00 AM, but it was wide open at all my sets yesterday... Hope it still is come Monday...

Saw five bucks and three does in Frio Co. yesterday evening. One of the bucks was a great 10 with some character. The tips of his G2s turn outwards at 90 degrees for an inch or so. Watched another buck make a scrape. And yet another with his whole right side broken off.

Deer are finally starting to move.
