That was great video! Been a while since I've had some coot gumbo. Haven't seen any the last two seasons. But I was only out 9 times for the last two seasons, too.

after water swatting a bird last year there was some unintended coots that met there demise as well. I threw them in the mix and ate them just to see if people were full of crap. Tasted like any other duck I’ve had, enjoyed it. Not at all like mud, but I’m sure if it was overcooked it would. Enjoyed it that I went out and shot a couple limits of the several times this year.
