I’ve been in Colorado for a week and dreading going back to the fire station tomorrow.
Prayin these first responders stay safe and that the idiots keep their cig ashes in their cars and burn piles unlit until rain

I sure hate that for everyone involved. Prayers for those in Danger and that have lost everything…

The updates here are coming in slower. Thankfully the winds were manageable enough that the tanker planes were landing on Granbury and I’m thinking they were getting over to the Lipan fire pretty quick from there.
Rain supposed to hit around 7-8am.

I'm praying for a good rain. Last I saw looked mostly on the east of I35.

Had a nasty fire start 1 mile north of our place in blanket today
South wind carried it north. Drought has this area dry as a powder house

We were hauling out livestock and horses out of there yesterday. My son in law and daughter were at their lease when the fire started right next to their place. The flames were 30 feet high and about 100 yards from their house. We got the horses, livestock and dogs out. By the time my daughter and son in law rushed home, the police had the road blocked and wouldn’t let them through. The roadblock was by their house and my son in law begged the cops to let him go get his big truck. It’s his lively hood. They were practically in front of the house and the cops were not going to budge so my SIL said screw this and walked on through the roadblock. One of the cops drew his gun on my SIL and threatened to shoot him. “Then shoot me in the back MF”, and he kept going. A supervisor was called and he allowed my son in law to recover his big truck and his pickup as well as important papers.
                          Tensions were pretty high yesterday.

Is it even legal for a cop to do that?

So your going to save the man’s life by shooting him in the back? Good gracious some people got dropped on their head way to many times
