I know the 3 pt your talking about. The owner who was a dentist had a patient that raised deer and needed some dental work but didn't have the money. He gave the dentist this 3 pt that turned into a stud and made the dentist a fortune off his offspring. I can't remember the name of the deer but seemed like it was around Falls City or somewhere like that. I dont believe in shooting yearling spikes either but if he is still a spike at 2 or 3 shame on him.

Could it actually be a fawn that didn’t get enough nutrition the first year after birth and didn’t branch into something other than a spike. It seems that a lot of buck deer get taken out prematurely for about 30 lbs of deboned meat.
There was a deer named Dezi that was pen raised in the late 60s in Texas that was orphaned and he was a 3 point his first set of antlers. Given everything he needed nutrition wise he grew beyond 200” non-typical over his lifetime. Just something to think about.
Jeez. How many times are we gonna hash this out here.
Are ya’ll seeing any rutting activity yet?
