    Best Private School?

My wife and I are looking at very seriously at relocating this coming year. Between the dumb weather and the dumber politics here, I've had about as much as I can stomach. A solid Christian and challenging academic education is very important to both of us and my two boys go to a great private school here. What are some of the best private schools in TX or ones you've had a good experience with? We aren't set on moving anywhere specific so the sky is the limit.

    Thanks!

My kids went to Abilene Christian Schools from K-12, and then on to Abilene Christian University for college and graduate school. Neither school was/is perfect or cheap, but they were great schools for our kids. They're both grown and married and gainfully employed now. And, even more importantly, they're solid Christian adults. You don't have to go to a private school for that to happen, obviously. But it was a great environment for them to be in growing up. We thought and still believe it was money well spent.

It’s not in Texas but we use Enlightium Academy for our boys. It’s a Christian home school online . The actual physical school is in Washington state and your kids will get a diploma instead of having to settle for a GED

Houston area, it would be Strake Jesuit for high school age boys. They challenged my son and taught him critical thinking skills in a Christian environment. I can’t say enough about this school.

For the San Antonio area these are schools we have vetted. Geneva and keystone are great options. Keystone is not Christian based though. My oldest is at St Mathews Catholic but will be moving to another school now that my middle child is starting pre-k in the fall.

Lavaca County, Shiner & Hallettsville has great schools. They both have public & private schools. It’s a slower pace of life & some really good people.

If you’re considering the Houston area, we’ve been very pleased with Second Baptist school for the foundation, character and critical thinking foundations. There’s several very good ones in this area as well. You might also look at Houston Christian
