I am Looking at every option out there for a used electric buggy . My first choice is the ranger ev if I can Find one to fit my budget . I would like some input on those who have had or still run the Badboy ambush . I have located a clean original owner 2015 ambush that fits my budget and checks all the boxes . With that said I can’t seem to source parts if I need them and wanted to know real world reviews on it . Thanks gentleman …

Had several friends that are very mechanically inclined that basically trashed their bad boy buggies because they could not fix them and could not find parts.
I don’t understand they why they couldn’t fix them. We didn’t get into that. I just know those guys are not prone to wasting money. And when they trashed them I knew they’d exhausted the options.

I have read that the all electric original BBB was a piece of you know what , but the ambush is made by Textron / ez go .

Bad Boy Buggy parts can be found at a company called Country Cat they have a great website. There is another company Brelands machinery and power sports.
There is also a book of faces Bad Boy Buggy page.
For the Nay Sayers I have owned my Bad Boy since I purchased it new in early 2014 and have had no major issues with it. Maintenance is the key!

I just know what they told me. But I have seen some other BBB still running.
My personal opinion is I wouldn’t buy one unless it was real cheap. I will check out the above mentioned website for parts. And tell my friends to see if that has parts they need.
My opinion does not reflect all happy BBB owners experiences just my two real world cases. They weren’t well maintained I do think that would have helped.Last edited by W E H; 03-13-2022, 01:17 PM.

I honestly have not seen any of the electric commercial buggies that aren't mainly junk. Just too many parts that can and will break. I tried them. The best thing I have ever owned was a 2000 ezgo that was fully built. It was a beast, I sold it when I bought one of the 4x4 electric carts that looked cool. Worst thing and biggest waste of money I have ever done.
These 4x4 buggies suck in the mud and I had my built gold cart in some severe mud and 16" of snow. There is very few places in texas a well built lifted cart can't go.
And you will be able to work on it and find parts which are near impossible for these others.
Find you a very clean early 2000's ezgo TXT. You can do an easy conversion to an AC system with a navitas on the fly programmer setup.
