Anyone sell a house to be moved?

I have given a house to a V F Department and got to take what the house was on the
tax rolls for as a deduction from my taxes
they used it for storage and office space

I know a guy that will only move a house if it is free. His take is he can only make money if he gets the house for free and the lot owner saves the cost of demolishing the house.

There is a company between Seguin and San Antonio on the south side of I-10…closer to San Antone. I dont know the company name but theyve a big yard with houses of various shapes and sizes, manufactured and stick built.

Ive only sold a couple mobile homes locally.

My brother and I gave it a B effort to try to get rid of an old house on a piece of our land … we were hoping for the come and take it for free option. House was in rough shape, but salvageable. We ended up doing this last weekend….

My neighbor is doing this now. If he sold the house/lot it would probably be worth 80k. I think he got 15k selling it to the movers. He is a contractor and said when he planned it out was cheaper to sell and restart then do the renovations/additions they were wanting to do.
