Recently purchased 190 acres in Junction and have had several nice axis bucks show up. Would appreciate any thoughts on score for this one. TIA.

His brows and caudle (can't see the left one) are nothing special, but he's got good length. Looks like he'll put on another inch or maybe two of beam length. Still bulbed on the tips, so not quite finished. Looks to be 32"-ish now, so maybe he'll finish out 33-34. Looks mature, maybe even on the verge of post-mature. Hard to tell for sure in a single grainy pic. He'd make a cool trophy - especially on your own land.

He’s a good healthy buck. Can’t tell if he has a caudel on his left side or not. Like Shane said, his eye guards and caudels are nothing special. They look to be about finished growing also. The main beams will get longer still, probably two more inches. I believe he will be 32 1/2”-33” when finished out. He won’t score well overall. I disagree with him being “post mature.” They live a lot longer than whitetails do. He’s definitely a mature buck, but can most likely get bigger next year. Especially if you start a supplemental feeding program. Good luck and congrats on your new place.
