What's that cable on the F250?

I got a 2014 F250 KR and saw this cable just sitting there by the front bumper. What's it for? I'm getting a ranch hand. Maybe it can hook up some extra lights on the grille guard?Click image for larger version

Yep, block heater. Plug it in overnight for nice easy starts on cold mornings.

Definitely a block warmer. I dont live up north but, I always plug my truck in when it drops into the 20's here at night. Truck starts and idles so much easier the next morning. Just my 2 cents.

I was sure wishing my truck had one when I was in Crested Butte, CO last month. It was -27 one morning, and pretty much stayed well below zero for the lows the entire week. First diesel I’ve owned that didn’t have one, but I’ll be making sure the next truck I order has one.

Every truck up here comes with a block heater, comes in very handy.
I hardy ever remember to plug in though expect when it gets way below zero.

By the way, heavy wet snow falling up here, below zero again this week. Bad weather coming for you all ?

Yours has one. You ain’t looked very hard for the plug.

Every diesel has a block heater. I use mine when it gets in the mid 30’s or below.

Saves wear on battery, sure is nice to be toasty warm in a few minutes.
