What does this to a pig?

Shot pig the other night. Group came in and I lined a couple up and let go. First pass through was a white and black one. As they ran off, a small black ran back into my lane and fell over with the arrow sticking out of it. I was actually on a deer hunt so I grabbed the little black one and as not to scent up my area, figured I would look for black and white one later. Lows were suppose to be in the 20’s there so figured no problem. When I found the black and white one, his ears were laying beside it but the skin had been pulled off it’s head and the head was missing. Top part was eaten on but nothing had even touched the hams. Anyone ever found an animal like this?? What takes the head?? Couldn’t believe the ears were still there. You can see them in the pic.

Put a camera on it, what ever it was most likely will be back.

I think it is common for cats to go for the gut and chest first........?

Our cat eats the head off every small rabbit she catches first, eats the rest later except legs and feet.
I would think a good sized cat but I'm certainly no expert.

Years back we popped a hog and it ran off. Next day we stumbled upon it drug up under a big cypress tree and covered with pine needles. The front end had been eaten off, then covered up.

Month or so later we had a biologist out to do biologist stuff and issue our doe tags. Asked him about it and he stated that big cats will do that. There have been rumors that a mountain Lion will sometimes frequent the area(apparently they have a very large range and will disappear for long periods). So, you may have a large cat on your hands.

This was in Arkansas on our yearly trip so don’t have any cameras on it. Pig was probably in the 60lb range. Not covered up with anything. I know cats will bite heads off mice but this was no small head. Guy with us was thinking Sasquatch. Lol

Very strange! I vote bobcat but it’s curious he didn’t cover it
We killed lots of pigs and piglets and never saw this.

                      Thanks for posting.

Only a black panther does that. Or a Rougarou if it's in Louisiana.
