Best Mexican Food on San Antonio Riverwalk?

I recently got accepted into dental school at UT School of Dentistry at San Antonio, so the girlfriend and I are headed up this weekend to look at apartments. She is from Louisiana and has never been to SA and wants to go to the Riverwalk and eat some good Mexican food.

    Need y’all’s suggestions!!

    Thanks!

Casa Rio. I will say there are better throughout the city though.

Casa Rio. Any other answer is wrong. Great atmosphere. Great salsa. Don't get fancy. Order one of the two main combo plates. You want tamales, enchiladas, chile con carne with rice and beans. A queso chip or crispy taco.

Some people say Mi Tierra, but it's Casa Rio.

Make it over to the Pearl for the farmers market. Grab a piece of Strawberry cake at Down on Grayson.

My go to in SA was always been Los Barrios, have not been there in a couple of years.
                    The cabrito was always good.

Yea really. River walk is not the best food in the city.

Correct. Other than Casa Rio. It's been there since 1946 for a reason. I've been to all of them. Not all of the generic tourist crap on the riverwalk. Most of the top spots around town.
