My dad caught one on Gus Engeling WMA years ago that had the head the size of a human head. Sucker was massive & looked like a friggin dinosaur. Ugliest & meanest thing I’d ever seen

When I was young and working in the rice fields we saw some really big ones. They would bring in the drag lines to clean out the irrigation canals
Some were the same size as the bucket
