One of my worst habits is negativity. My glass is almost always half empty instead of half full. I know better, but I don’t always do better. Thanks Bill, for the reminder.
My MIL is the most negative person this side of the Atlantic and it drive me totally insane. No matter the subject, she is negative about it.
I, on the other hand, try to find good in any and everything. It just makes life so much easier, even through tough times.
I tell her all the time when she’s grumbling to give it to God and get your hands off it. Her reply is “I do give it to Him.”
The problem is that she doesn’t trust Him enough to let Him handle it.
The Bible tells me that in the end Jesus wins and I rest my assurance on that and sleep well every night.

- your house is the dream of the homeless
- your smile is the dream of the depressed

Try to help your MIL understand that when she gives something to Him, it doesn't belong to her anymore. Hand it to Him and turn it loose.
