I got a new one out as a fish feeder with a new solar panel that faces south with no shade.
The 7.5ah batteries are only lasting about 10-12 days on the feeder. Tested everything and all seems good.
Had a different manufacturers two motor system fish feeder in the same spot and never had a battery issue.

Had a similar issue with mine. New battery (x2 to check) and a new panel. Tested all my stuff with a meter separately and all seemed good until I hooked the 4Everlast timer up to it. Battery would drag down just sitting there idle without throwing. I left it at 5 bars and came back a couple of hours later to 2-3 bars with no throws. Like I mentioned above, I did this twice with a new hot battery each time. I'd run a test spin when it was new/hot and it was fine...Came back and ran a test when it was down to 2-3 bars and the auger motor would not spin and put out any corn at the lower battery level. The spinner would spin but not the auger. Called them when I got back into town and the head feeder guru dude they transferred me to told me to remove the rheostat in line with timer off the auger motor. They were having some issues with them and they were hit or miss. Evidently they are made to run without the rheostat as well. It was just an add-on to adjust/control the speed of the auger (not the spinner) for more corn output. Without it, it is supposed to run at a standard speed. I will be going back on 4/1 for the turkey opener to hopefully resolve the issue. Hopefully they resolved the rheostat issue and can send me another one. Or hell if its works fine, I may leave it out all together. Stay tuned.

I wish I'd have known that before I drove home 5 hours with it still hooked up... slacker.Seriously though, I like what I see when its working. Hopefully all goes well when I get back.

.
Seems there is an small issue with the weight/shape of the corn versus the weight of lighter fish feed and the rheostat was put into place to control the feed supply for longer throws. I was told to not feed over 8-9 seconds with corn and there shouldn’t be an issue without the rheostat . So …you fish feeders probably won’t have any issues like the deer hunters could …I currently feed 10-15 seconds per feed during season with my Krivoman style directional that works on a similar concept, but I’ll adjust. Well my deer will.
My talk with him was brief but that is what I gathered from it. I didn’t get too much into details as he seemed busy. I’m just going to do what the expert says to do to solve my current problem.
