First lite vs. Sitka

Came across this thread searching for the same answers. I’ve had First Lite base layers for a while now, back when they were using real tree as their camo pattern and durability wise they’ve definitely held up. Also have their Kanab pants which I guess is now their Obsidian. And use their puffy jacket for when it gets cold. I’ve been really tempted to get a few Sitka outer layer pieces, but the last two seasons haven’t been cold enough while I’ve been out. I’ll probably carry on with my current set up but with all the input from this thread I may add a Sitka Stratus jacket and bib. Thanks for all the input and info.

I actually think the first light sizing is more accurate. I too have FL base layers and they are my favorite. I also have a few FL outer layers and I enjoy wearing them as well, the FL corrugate pants are the bomb.

The Sitka Fanatic series in really incredible though, only real knock is that the lowers area burr magnet but the set is super warm and WAY better wind stopping that the sanctuary set. Keep in mind though, the lack of wind stopping was one of the FL Sanctuary's biggest complaints and they have released a new set that is supposed to be much better (haven't tried it yet though)

I ended up deciding im going to sell all of my outler layer First Lite stuff and replace with the Sitka Stratus and equinox sets. Going to keep all my base layers from FL and use the combination together.
