Poll on leasing

Doing a favor for my buddy who’s thinking about leasing out two spots on his ranch . Poll is

1 . Spread the wealth and lease to 2 guys with no current lease
Or
2 lease to a couple guys who have multiple ranch’s to hunt currently

Example email he got
“” I am always looking for a new area to hunt depending on what it has to offer i hunt STX late season east TX early Eldorado November and early December off season I spend time in Sonora for exotics I always take really good care of my area and pull my weight i bow hunt only my son does most of the killing these days he is 50/50 rifle and compound bow”


I guess both have a +/- , me personally I vote spread the wealth

Double edge sword there. Guy with a lease already could be the best lease mate someone has ever had and be the worse at the same time.
Guy with no lease could be anything. Hard to know especially if he’s never leased before. But he has no lease and could turn out to be great.

I vote spread the wealth bc it’s so hard to find a lease nowadays

I can appreciate the sentiment of "spreading the wealth", but he needs to make the best decision for his land/investment and family regardless of the other people's lease situation. I would do as suggested and interview the different parties and make an informed decision.
