Removing the tags prevents future free advertising in support of companies like this, that have shown their true colors after you've already bought and use their equipment. Now when he does alpha male stuff the company doesn't get to piggy back on his accomplishments.

Just about everyone I call friend can tell it's carhart without the tags. Especially now that you've cut the tags off and left an obvious spot.
