No it won't, most of those guys don't catch 3 a as it is.

The rule has a sunset provision. August 31, 2023. Being from Ammannsville you may need to know that a sunset provision means it ends on that date.

Catch and release for US citizens is right around the corner.
Yep. They always check me coming in at the dike. Imagine if they actually cared about the laws and checked everyone fishing on the rocks. Pathetic..

Also, this is only a 2 spawn temp rule from the LLM to Matagorda. It won't affect us in Galveston Bay.

            TPW at its best

That is not a correct statement or a responsible approach to fishery management.

How can someone justify a $650 guide fee or a $75k boat at 5 fish but not at 3? Complaining about the limit number in this case makes zero sense. If you're paying that kind of money you don't need 2 extra trout to feed your family.

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up expanding it on up the coast.

If most people would just use a little common sense, most of these laws and regulations would not be necessary.
If you catch a fish and it is hooked deep and may die anyway, keep it.
If you can go fishing often, just keep what you need for now. No need to fill your freezer every time you go out. If the limit is 5 but you just need 3, keep 3. You can catch and release fish!
Most people, myself included, are to concerned with catching a limit, no matter what that number is.
As far as the 3 trout limit affecting boat sales and guided trips. Remember, you can catch and release.

New TPWD Law for Galveston Bay - if you kill trout just for a pile pic or “fishing for the gram” - automatic license suspend HA

Yeah a place that literally had its worse trout numbers on record. This is not an unlimited resource, no one is fishing for food anymore.

                                Neither are the TPWD commissioners.
