Really looking at going down this weekend mainly to fish, but are any birds there? Reports I had heard earlier in the season was very few redheads or birds period like the rest of the State. Up current info on numbers? Don't need spots to hunt, just wondering if it's worth dragging the dekes with me...

I’m headed down that way too this weekend. I’ve heard there is few birds down there, but nothing to get excited about. I am taking my decoys just incase, but mainly going to fish.

My son and 6 of his buddies hunted POC last weekend. Limited out Friday and Saturday mornings and shot 10 Sunday morning.Comment

In the open bays I have seen some decent groups of redheads (nothing huge though) and a ton of buffleheads. I have not had a chance to get in the back lakes so I am not sure what is going on back towards the island.
