Nope, he’s only been in texas 2 years. He told me when we met the first time that he hadn’t ever known a hunter till he moved to texas. Then he moved across the street from me…. And I’m a bit over the top id imagine.

realistically, I'd guess that he's heard that backstrap is really good, and doesn't have the slightest clue that you only get a few pounds off a deer, and also that it's the cut that hunters are least likely to dish out. That said, I think the guy's a jerk, and for only 15 lbs of backstrap I'll go tell him for ya.
