trail camera photos won't open on my Mac

I have a Bushnell Spot On trail camera that I just started using and I can't get my Mac Preview to open up the jpeg photos. I copied the files from my SD Card into a folder on the desktop and tried opening from there. All my other cameras have not given me any issues and I use the same method.

Anyone know how to fix this or have similar issues?

I have the same issue with Tasco cams. They record video in .avi for video which doesn’t work with Apple products. Same issue with the photos, It’s a jpeg file but not compatible.

There are some apps out there that will convert to an Apple usable format. But I gave up on that and just use a windows based system for my trail cam pics.

Can't do that as I got rid of all my Windows based systems.

What's it doing when you try and open one photo?

I can shoot you my email and you can send me a couple to try on my end and see what happens.

Looks like something is corrupted. There’s no reason a jpeg shouldn’t open. Any way to try an open on a PC? Do you still have the SD card or did you delete it?

Try renaming the prefix before .jpeg
For .avi file conversions use handbrake it is a free apps that can convert almost any video file. You might also try plugging the card to your smart tv card reader, the card sounds corrupt.

Newer Bushnell/Primos/Tasco cameras are not compatible with Apple products any more. I called the factory and heard it first hand. Had to return my cameras and get a different brand to work with my iPhone. I went with Wild View, part of the Stealth Cam family. Bone Collector adapter didn't work also.
