Not defending the guy at all, but people drink and drive with a gun all the time.

You are absolutely defending him.

Nope. I’m not defending the act at all, just saying that people drinking and driving with a loaded gun is probably a lot more common place than people want to acknowledge.
How many people go to happy hour after work, have a few, and then drive home all while having a loaded gun in the console of their vehicle?-A lot. I don’t condone it, but it happens all the time.

Smith is 21-yrs-old and representing THE TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY. A team leader who is supposed to make smart decisions and not do anything stupid that would jeopardize the team's goal of winning a NC.
Dude is 9 months away from being drafted in the NFL and making millions. Reminds me of Speedy Noil as ALL football programs will eventually have to deal with these selfish individuals. Blame it on immaturity or ignorance, these kids don't think before they act. No doubt if you are I did the same thing, there's a strong possibility we'd be fired and lose our jobs.

Come on Smart… you know you’re carrying some hippy lettuce and your slingshot while peddling your bicycle at unsafe speeds??? All the while on a sugar high from Little Debbie cakes….
These kids and it doesn’t matter which school, are so freaking stupid to do this with the whole world ahead of them. I was that age and stupid too. I just try to teach my kids this will derail your life so quickly.

No idea if true, but read RUMOR of ainias charges being dropped today, seems too soon…
Blew twice under legal limit
Passenger in car claimed the weed was his
Failed sobriety test because couldn’t stand on one leg
If charges were dropped, then unlawful carry of firearm is dropped as well because we all
Know
It’s legal to carry a gun in your car if your not DWI etc

Lol, if they were dropped. Another investigation is looming. He blew .066 and .061 but, failed the field sobriety test. That doesn’t get dropped for any joe blow. That being said. 08 would have been the checkmate. Entire incident likely recorded.

Mathieu would likely have won the Heisman in 2011 had he not been disciplined and suspended for games due to failing 5, 6, 7, 8, ?? drug tests. Dude could change the game in a heartbeat

Innocent until proven guilty... isn't that how our system works?
Not defending the guy as he is an idiot to put himself in that situation in the first place. Being a leader on the team he should hold himself to higher standards and be an example. With that being said, Jimbo ought to make an example of him even if charges are dropped and kick his @** off the team. What he did is not what true leaders do.
