He might miss 1/2 of a single game & get his team captain title taken away. Then he will be back on the field playing ball.
Think your college kid smokes weed?

Best lock down corner in the state, size and speed, nice head to head win as well as far as SEC recruiting competition.

Not defending the guy at all, but people drink and drive with a gun all the time.

        You are absolutely defending him.

Nope. I’m not defending the act at all, just saying that people drinking and driving with a loaded gun is probably a lot more common place than people want to acknowledge.

How many people go to happy hour after work, have a few, and then drive home all while having a loaded gun in the console of their vehicle?-A lot. I don’t condone it, but it happens all the time.

I agree with Smart....I can't sat that often regarding CFB. I don't go to Happy Hour, I don't carry a firearm when I know I'll be out drinking, I rarely drive a vehicle after any drinking. In college, I can honestly say I never once took a handgun to Northgate and I didn't ever drink and drink with a firearm.

            You are defending.

You're in DENIAL, and not only are you defending Smith, but you're also justifying his actions. I think you completely missed the entirety of this issue: Sr. and Team Captain, driving while intoxicated, speeding, Possession of marijuana, unlawful carrying of a firearm, and being pulled over / arrested at 2:00AM. That's something most TBH'ers and normal people don't do

Smith is 21-yrs-old and representing THE TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY. A team leader who is supposed to make smart decisions and not do anything stupid that would jeopardize the team's goal of winning a NC.

Dude is 9 months away from being drafted in the NFL and making millions. Reminds me of Speedy Noil as ALL football programs will eventually have to deal with these selfish individuals. Blame it on immaturity or ignorance, these kids don't think before they act. No doubt if you are I did the same thing, there's a strong possibility we'd be fired and lose our jobs.

Come on Smart… you know you’re carrying some hippy lettuce and your slingshot while peddling your bicycle at unsafe speeds??? All the while on a sugar high from Little Debbie cakes….

These kids and it doesn’t matter which school, are so freaking stupid to do this with the whole world ahead of them. I was that age and stupid too. I just try to teach my kids this will derail your life so quickly.

No idea if true, but read RUMOR of ainias charges being dropped today, seems too soon…

                    Blew twice under legal limit
Passenger in car claimed the weed was his
Failed sobriety test because couldn’t stand on one leg

If charges were dropped, then unlawful carry of firearm is dropped as well because we all
                    Know
It’s legal to carry a gun in your car if your not DWI etc

Bag man made it to the DA's office in record time!

JimmyBo is used to that though. Dealing with Crab Legs taught him well

Lol, if they were dropped. Another investigation is looming. He blew .066 and .061 but, failed the field sobriety test. That doesn’t get dropped for any joe blow. That being said. 08 would have been the checkmate. Entire incident likely recorded.

yuuuup, happens at every CFB program as some coaches have a longer leash than others. Athletes are given countless opportunities to get their schit together and most end up being dismissed from the team. At LSU, Ryan Perrilloux and Tyrann Mathieu come to mind. RP's laundry list included being the main suspect involved in a counterfeit money investigation, entering a casino with a fake ID, being involved in multiple verbal and physical altercations at bars, missing team meetings, and being late for a number of team workouts. The final straw was a failed drug test which he probably failed 4-5 before Les Miles had enough.

Mathieu would likely have won the Heisman in 2011 had he not been disciplined and suspended for games due to failing 5, 6, 7, 8, ?? drug tests. Dude could change the game in a heartbeat

I hope a D1 skill position athlete could stand on one leg!

Innocent until proven guilty... isn't that how our system works?

Not defending the guy as he is an idiot to put himself in that situation in the first place. Being a leader on the team he should hold himself to higher standards and be an example. With that being said, Jimbo ought to make an example of him even if charges are dropped and kick his @** off the team. What he did is not what true leaders do.

Lightning quick. Jimbo probably hand delivered it with a set of Groucho Marks' glasses on.
