2024 Elk Hunt questions

Been doing some research myself and thinking about WY next fall. I have one less than max points and looking for a bull.

That said, I think Wyoming has a "no points required/random draw" limited tags for cow elk. I think it's a separate season as well, but could be wrong. Might be worth looking into though. As I've looked at various WY outfitters' websites, I've seen some list cow elk hunts though I can't recall which ones.

If you're on THF, you might reach out to WyTex, who lives in WY and hunts elk regularly. I pm'd him and he was responsive and friendly.

I know a crazy 68 year old man, who is planning to get on a horse, ride up in the mountains of Idaho, and kill a bull with his bow, if he can just get to the starting line on Sept 3 of this year.
