Public land only for me,never had a lease. Killed some nice deer and hogs on public land. I can afford a lease,I'm just too much of a tightwad to spend the money!

I hunt elk on public land in Colorado, and duck every now and then here in Texas on public land, but we lease some and own a little too. I like public land, because it is a change from stuff that you see everyday on your own land.

I only hunt public, with an occasional invite out of state. You will defiantly have to earn it, if you want to be successful. Be tolerant, you are usually not alone out there.

I hunt grapevine and LBJ, between the two I have always gotten at least one deer every year since 2000. Also go to granger after deer season closes, lots of hogs there. One of these years I'm going to have to put some time into davey crockett national forrest, that place is big and big deer no one talks about are taken out of there every year.

Hit public land in Arkansas every year. Their bow season runs thru February.
