Another Taxidermy report

I wish people would quit leaving the horns and antlers with taxidermy places till the mount is ready for final product.
Learn they have zero motivation to do the work ! X300% if paid in advance !!
Taxidermist shops have loads of shady people in them that have no problem stealing your trophy especially when it’s a once in a lifetime trophy and those places are definitely not Fort Knox or even secure

Get a big freezer or two at the ranch and learn how to cape deer. Keep the horns and frozen capes until you can get them to a reputable taxidermist.
This guy needs to find a new profession. Taxidermy ain’t it.

Google and FB had good reviews. I did take time to look at his work and was pleased. The crap hanging on walls was not representative of work drying on his bench.

I met him in 2020 and saw his work. Wouldn’t have guessed he’d be the screw you over type.

That's my guess too! 3 weeks will turn into 3 months and another excuse! Hope I'm wrong! I've been real happy with Full Draw Legends in Rising Star. That guy answers his phone and does what he says he will do and the work looks great. I've had some nightmares with taxidermists. Bill Muntz with Fin and Bones does my fish now and he's great too.

He did a replica of my pb bass. Does good work.
