How is it that you get exposed that much? I've never had it nor have I ever been around someone who was within 4 weeks of having it, except my sister.
I would be more curious how you are not? Daily life puts me face to face with a substantial amount of people.. work, grocery store, hardware store, convenient store etc.. If those people are face to face with half of what I am that’s a substantial # and I suspect I cross paths with someone with the virus daily. Not to mention door handles, elevator buttons, public bathrooms.
I would be more focused on my immune system. Am I getting sufficient sleep, exercise, diet, inclusive of some daily vitamins.
No different than precovid we caught viruses when our immune system was weak. Just because you are exposed does not mean you will get it.

Pretty small chance for these types of transmission.

No. I have tested at three separate places. I work as a school administrator and ref club volleyball. So I am exposed to lots of people. This past weekend I reffed a tournament that had over 300 teams packed into a Convention Center. There were 95% of the people unmasked in the Center, me included.

This!!! I think many of those who tested positive more than once or twice are getting false positives. It is cold and flu season and those tests are not very accurate.

And each time we have a confirmed case at or
On our campus I get to escort them to the quarantine room.

I agree but didn't want to start a debate since most people are convinced/conditioned to think that high contact surfaces are a normal way to contract Covid.

Fact is, 85% of transmission happens at home and most of the other 15% is being around a positive case in an enclosed environment, or going into a "loaded" room. All done through respiratory droplets, small ones, that the masks don't do a single thing to stop.

I am not paranoid about it at all, but if you pay attention to how many times the average person touches their mouth or wipes their nose with their hand and then grabs something, I think it is more likely to be transmitted this way than you think, or their studies show. Just my opinion though.

Most people think they are very cleanly but if you really pay attention it is tough to really be that clean. Luckily our bodies were made to combat these types of things.

I seriously question the validity of the testing... take that with a grain of salt, because I've never been tested. I'm 99% sure I had COVID in November of 2020... fever, aches, complete loss of taste and smell. I'm in the "natural immunity camp" and have not done anything to avoid exposure since and have not gotten anything similar again. Yes, I've had the sniffles, headaches, sore throat, etc a couple time.... just like every one of my 47 years pre-COVID.

Hasn't it been acknowledged that the testing does not necessarily differentiate between COVID and the flu?

Why someone would go get a test every time their nose is runny is beyond me.

I hear you amigo! I have a health condition that makes me unconsciously touch around my eye, and I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had pinkeye, get the same lecture from the dr “ don’t rub your eye, use hand sanitizer, wash your hands “
As a species we are pretty slovenly. Yep people are gross

My daughter played in that tournament Thursday & Friday and tested positive Sunday. This is her second time having it. Hope you get over it quick!

My opinion, most of us have been around positive people a lot more than we know. Many times I may go a week without close contact with other people, then will be in close contact with many for a week or 2. Several times after that I get a call about 1 of them testing positive and I get tested, always has been negative. Pretty sure I had the latest latest variant a couple weeks ago, got tested when I started feeling better due to upcoming schedule and test came back negative. Fall of 2020 wife had almost all the symptoms including loss of taste and smell but test came back negative, immunologist told her she had it but test results were due to when she had the test. This follow the science has a lot of holes in it.

The worst symptom of Covid is the irresistible need to describe having it to anyone and everyone like it is some unique and special circumstance when its literally something that hundreds of millions of others have had.

I believe in the testing about as much as I believe in the jab.

The "test" says that I have it now, and I really still don't believe it, nor do I feel like it.
I think I might've had it back in 2020, but didn't even get tested for it back then. Felt like a cold that came from outta nowhere and disappeared just as fast. I just kept on keeping on.

I'm a just natural born skeptic
