gonna be in rockport tomorrow, fishing out of aransas pass friday. Is it worth bringing down some rods to fish from the piers or somewhere and try to catch some reds/trout to bring home? My dad and I are fly fishing with a guide friday and he's catch and release only so if we can get a couple thursday afternoon that'd be great!

First day back on the office after 4 days in port Mansfield. Big trout where hard to come by. Slot reds were pretty common. Was able to get the boys in close on some to sight cast. The both hooked up. One landed. I caught I monster ray on an artificial. That was fun.

Still getting flounder pretty good. They're hanging around drains and ditch mouths. Small clear paddle tails are the weapon of choice still. Caught several that I let swim away, this guy wasn't so lucky.
