Arthritis has set in around my L3-4-5 herniated and bulging discs. Surgery is not an option at this point due to my age and future problems with surgery. We talked about all the options, shots, surgery, nerve block and ablation. Surgery at this point was spinal fusion which he did not recommend.
    Physical therapy starts Monday.

Injections are not meant to be a long term fix. 2 weeks is a really positive sign. If the injection worked at all, which in your case it did, you’d be a great candidate for a Rhizotomy which will last you much longer.

I'm 33 now and hurt my back at 16 playing football. L4,l5,s1 started out bulged. I ended up having surgery in May of 2020. Fused the 3 together after many failed attempts of shots, PT and the Chiropractor. It was the best thing I ever did. No pain, no limping and my body is straight. Dr Friedman out of Bryan College Station did mine.
