How long to be comfortable in your saddle?

How long did it take you to trust your saddle? I’m on my first full sit in mine and am still nervous. I’m comfortable just keep remembering that I’m trusting this thing with my life.

I'm speaking to cell tower work, where guys hang in a harness from steel or a rope while working.
Pretty much the same thing, we're just a little higher.

This right here, learn to trust your equipment. Once you do you’ll be able to relax a lot more.

I’m betting if you get hurt in a modern tree saddle it is due to user error or climbing in unsafe conditions, not the equipments fault. Also, some trees you just can’t trust. Pick a good tree and use the saddle properly and you will be fine. I was an arborists at one time.

A lot to be said here.
If you can't hang a 1/2 ton pick up from it, don't anchor to it.
You arborist get away with everything when it comes to OSHA .

It might take a bit. Took me about 15min. Shot a buck out of mine first hunt. Turning to the left away from the tree. Perfectly comfortable.
