flying Southwest with a handgun? how?

wife flying to drive back with college daughter. two women on the road ... they need to bring along Mr. Glock to keep them company.

so how exactly do you do that flying that with a gun? locked in a pistol box, in your checked luggage - yes? am guessing you tell them you have a gun in there? other details?

arrested wife would be bad. let me know what we need to do to keep it all legit and legal.

i fly to Front Sight in Nevada a lot with my guns. it has to be unloaded locked in a hard clamshell box (i use a pelican case). have to use a tsa lock. has to to be in checked luggage. and the ammo has to be in original case, except it can be in mag if mag has equips a lid (like on ar15 pmag). have to declare there is a firearm in the luggage.

Send it UPS Red to your daughter through a FFL dealer. Or let your wife pick it up when she gets there. Or just run into the terminal really fast holding it up in the air. I bet somebody would tell her from there what to do with it.........

just tell her to but in her bra so when she gets to the xray machine she will distract the guy standing there while she is putting it in the bin.... but good luck on distracting the guy behind the scanner...
