    Blynd blind insulating

Does anyone have any experience insulating these? This particular stand faces due west and I need to figure something out to keep it from getting so dang hot, especially early season.

Thats what I’m leaning towards. Just concerned about it not sticking to the ripples.

Do what I did and sell it. Lots of better options out there.

You could try heat shield panels on the outside and maybe paint them?

I think that stuff will stick to grease!

Attach some chicken wire to the plastic, leaving a gap between the wire and the plastic, before you spray foam, it will hold onto that.

got a blynd blind...what we use are:

                long johns
                thermals
                north face hoodie
                jacket
                200g danner boots
                portable heater

hahaha...those things are just plain cold.

I have two double Blynds that I put in operation over twenty years ago. As I put them together, I made templates out of 1/4 plywood for each section. I then put R-13 insulation between the wood and the plastic and bolted them together with fender washers on each end. I then glued low pile commercial carpet to the interior pieces. Did this with the roof section as well. They are still the quietest and warmest stands on my place. I know, lot of work on the front end, but twenty years of great hunting with very little maintenance. Good luck!!

You gotta get that thing outta the sun. I would figure out a way to hang an M-150 Lock On in the shade if you can’t move blind.

I’m no help, hunted out of one a couple times. Loudest and coldest stand I’ve ever been in, wouldn’t own one.
